Blue Ribbons Scripts was developed by screenwriters for
screenwriters.. Our goal is to establish a collective website of published
(no, we don't mean vanity press) and award-winning writers who want to
offer their services to other writers.
Too often, writing contests receive an abundance of work that is not
ready for competition. Behind these works are writers who wait
anxiously for months, hoping that this time they will see their names on
the winners' list. Unfortunately, most of these writers don't know that
they have no chance of winning because their format is incorrect, or
their characters lack depth or their script is riddled with spelling and
grammar errors. And, the sad part for many struggling writers is that
they have wasted $30-$60 for all their angst.
Blue Ribbon Mentors can help these writers. Since our mentors have
already reached published or competition level they are better qualified
to recognize the pitfalls and problems in scripts for an affordable price.
